Stolen goods?

I have read a few posts around here about various people getting equipment stolen. I was curious to know where the stuff was stolen from...out of your house? Out of your car? On jobs?

I've only ever had cars, purses, identity and bank account funds stolen. Car out of the driveway, purse out of the car, identity...who knows (off a check I wrote at the mall, more than likely), bank funds (see identity info above).

Re: Stolen goods?

That's horrible thartley. They say the USA is the land of the "free" Maybe that's because everybody steals everything! :)

2 years ago I had my Mac, printer, and scanner stored in a friends storage room. I went overseas for 3 months, came back, and POOF! It all disappeared. But the joke is on them. ...I've got the powercords. ;D

Let's hope 2005 is a theft free year for everyone.

Re: Stolen goods?

There's not much that makes me want to put my Charles Bronson mask on....But getting stuff stolen or having you place broken into...Well...Man i'm getting all pissed off just thinking about it. Remember that kid who got caned in Korea or wherever a couple of years back? I think that would be a good deterent >:(

Re: Stolen goods?

Times are rough. Things gets stolen all the time where I live. Car theft is #1 here. The centrall valley I think is ranked #1 in the nation for car theft. It's a good thing I drive a geo metro. I can run faster than that thing. We should cut fingers off like they do in cambodia.

Re: Stolen goods?

yes since we cant prevent theft ..only deter it.. I think cutting off fingers will work. the rest will get the idea.

Actually reminds me of a film clip I saw somewhere. .. he was quitting smoking . and when he cheated and had a smoke in the shadows. they cut off his wifes little finger. I'm ' singlethough.
I may have to borrow a wife.

Re: Stolen goods?

Yeah, I think I saw that movie...Stephen King, was it?

I hate getting stuff ripped off, whatever it is. Very bad level of anger is produced. I'm not sure what level of pissed I would be if my camera equipment was stolen, but it would be off the charts. Regardless of insurance.

Anyway, I was just wondering where people's cameras (or other equipment) were when they were stolen.

And may we all be free of any of that in 2005!

When the last human heart beats for the very last time, we will be rid of a lot of bad stuff.

Re: Stolen goods?

I had a camera and a quitar once stolen from a parked car. It was in Rome, Italy, though, so it doesn't count. I haven't met anyone yet who wouldn't have some kind of incident with pickpockets, thieves, or robbers (or police) in that city.
