stolen DVX's? Did i buy one?

Okay, here's my dilemna. I had recently bought a used DVC80 from ebay with 4 hours on the heads and in tip top shape. I got it for 1300.00. I used it for a few days and decided I wasn't going to be happy unless I had the 100a, so I sold it for 1600.00. I waited until I saved up some more money and began to hunt for some used 100 or 100a's on ebay. Didn't have the funds for a new item. now, i already got lucky buying once from ebay, so I tried my luck again, and snagged a ued DVX100a with 22 hours on the heads with all accessories and 2 xtra life panny batteries. I'm wondering why anyone would unload this cam for that price and it has me wondering if I''m buying stolen goods. This cam has the original box and warranty card that is not filled out. The seller assured me it was his, but I feel strange about it. Either I'm buying stolen crap or someone is looking out for me. Is there any way to check if it's stolen or not? Or should I just scratch it up to I got a crazy good deal?

So how much *did* you pay for the DVX100a? It's certainly possible it's stolen, but unlikely I think. Why would the bids be lower for a camera if it was stolen. How would the bidders know? Was the seller fishy? Did it have a ridiculously low Buy It Now price? Maybe you just got lucky. Have you actually received the camera?

The cam is sitting here right now. I'm trying to get my head around all of the new settings etc.. I bought the 100a for 1950.00 which included shipping. The seller was completely by the book. I emailed him asking him to give me a buy it now price to end the auction early, and he told me to bid to be high bidder then ended the auction with buy it now. So it's all legit in the ebay and paypal systems. He was very forward with the details about the cam which lead me to believe it was his cam. I guess I just keep getting lucky. Time to stop buying on ebay before I get burnt. hehe. I'm just going to let it go as a good deal and stop worrying and start shooting.

It's a bit strange that he'd end the auction early with such a low price, but maybe the gods were smiling on you. I just pray that you don't have one of the early ones with the clunk when it's turned off**

**Just kidding!

HEHE, the clunk isn't gonna work on me. I learned my lesson when I had my DVC80 :)
