Hi, Im in the process in starting a local stock footage company of the northwest. I was wondering who should I be spending my money on advertising too? Ive sold some footage to people doing movies and some documentaries before. But I was wondering what the main group who stock footage customers do, so I know what areas of advertising to scope out. Any help would be great.

I've never heard of anyone buying stock video footage. Ad agencies always want professionally shot film for commercials.

I have bought a lot of stock footage. I use them for effects that need a real element, such as explosions, smoke, etc. The only stock footage I ever use other than that are time lapse clouds. All sorts of time lapse clouds.
