Stock Footage Libraries

Hi All,

I ran a search on this topic but have not seen many threads on it. Anyone have any favorite stock footage libraries? I would ideally like to join a site that had a monthly rate for access to a library. I'm working on something that needs a lot of montage sections and need access to some footage i'll never be able to shoot on my own.

Me too. Looking for some war footage. Understand the Government has footage available for reasonable purchase.

i need to get some stock footage sources too, without spending too much. I also need a news room and weather room that I could use to key and greenscreen. Any ideas appreciated!!

I have the stock footage libraries from Digital Juice. They're good for standard definition, if you're using them in certain ways. Otherwise, they are not that great, it just depends. The level of interlacing makes it look like my grandma shot some of the footage with a handycam. Footage should NEVER look like that, ever, especially not shot by professionals. But there is good, usable footage in there and the libraries are cheap so I can't complain too much. That being said, Digital Juice owns stock sound effects, those libraries are incredible.

You will find what you are looking for at www.buyoutfootage.com unless it is modern war. Then you are probably talking BBC Archives, ABC, FOX or one of the news outlets. I licensed a ton of Afghan and Iraq war footage from FOX News, it was great but not cheap.
