stills to movie?

What would you recommand, how can I easily create a video out of some still images (like the trick-film technics)?

A combination of Photoshop and After Effects would allow for most of what is seen to day with 'stills' in movie sequences.

Even Quicktime can import a still sequence... just not too much in the way of manipulation after that...

Import images two to four times larger than the frame you're using, and you can do some quite large pan-and-scan moves on the photos a la Burns.

If you use a picture that has nothing that should move (no people, crashing waves, moving cars, waving trees, etc), you can fake a convincing ultra-smooth pan or zoom with a bit of noise added.

I use Vegas, and it takes literally seconds to pan-and-scan a photo -- I do it quite often.
