Still not clear on the Anamorphic Adapter

I still haven’t bought my camera yet (cash isn’t here yet), and so I am flip flopping (once again) on which one I should buy. So here’s my question: Just how hard is it to focus the DVX100A with the Panny Anamorphic Adapter? I know I know, this issue has been written about before, but I was wondering if anyone has any new updated impressions on the focus issue with this adapter. 60% of my scenes (for a movie) will be outdoors, so a monitor wont be realistic for me. All opinions welcome, thanks in advance!

Re: Still not clear on the Anamorphic Adapter

it completely depends on what type of shot your doing.. the more tele, the harder it is. but you'll be irising down outdoors anyway unless youve got some nds to compliment the in cam ones. even at wide open iris anything about 15 feet back or more is easy enough to focus on anyway. irising down makes it very easy. i would suggest just going ahead and getting it if you need it for a film out or whatever blowup you have in mind, youll learn how o use it well soon enough.. its certainly not rocket science. but if your just doing somthing for dvd, or whatnot in the SD realm, then just stick with the in cam stretch or letterbox mode. if you have a chance to try the anamorphic out than id suggest to do that of course.
