Still Image Captures stretched out...

Hi, I'm shooting on the XHA1 and capturing to FCP.

If I export a frame to Still Image, the result is a picture that is stretched out vertically. I am sure there is a way to have the image exported at proper proportions but I haven't found it yet. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

That's what a native 16:9 image looks like. You would want to resize in Photoshop. For example a 720x480 16:9 image still looks more correct when resized to 863x480 or so. Make sure to uncheck constrain proportion in Photoshop. This might help you get the concept better:
