Still BIN crazy - help

Capturing footage - I have NEVER understood how to capture directly into a bin of my choice (within the project)

Can someone explain to me in simple english how to do that? Until now I've just captured into the project then dragged and dropped into whatever bin I want it - there's gotta be a better way.

Howdy
In Log and capture on the top right hand side are three folder tabs, the first being logging. The first window is log bin, this is where you make your choice. the first window shows the name of the bin where it is going, the next tab will help cycle through bins that are in progects that are open. the next button to the right of that will create a new bin if you want one. the key is to make sure that the the project that has the bin you want to use is open. Hope that helps.

Thanks for trying to help - BUT I have tried exactly that and it doesn't do it. To be clear, in my "browser" window in the upper left, the selected tab is the current project. Within that project I have several different bins.

When I hit the button in the log and capture window you are referring to - sortof a longish horizontal button - it only contains the project name - not a bin name, and no matter how many times I click it nothing changes - that's what mystifies me.

Any further thoughts, ideas - even if you have to tell me I'm making some bonehead mistake, would be much appreciated.

Try the one nxt to it, that is the one I am refering to. It looks like a folder with an upwards pointing arrow.

You can just make a new bin, right click, or control click for the lucky single button mouse users, and select set logging bin.
