Has anyone used or own sticky pods car adaptors? Do they work if you have had experience with this product. I saw it in movie maker mag. It's www.stickypods.com and they look like they would work. looking for some other feed back thats not from the website.

me too, looks like it could add some very nice production value to a movie.

just scared to death the camera will fall off.

We used them a lot on Sex Machine. In fact, I've been thinking about putting together a little clip of Stickpod stuff that didn't make it into the movie. Just follow the instructions, and don't neglect the part about windexing whatever surface you put it on. You'll be amazed at how tight the stickpod actually sticks on.

That being said, the hardware part is a little fragile. We overcranked one of the little pieces and stripped it. Even with that being said, the Stickypod is very cool and you can't beat it for the price.

We even used it for the interiors of sequences shot in cars.

just saw athe prices

wow, good for them, there is no reason i wouldnt pay that price. well done!

Many DVXusers bought the Sticky Pod

Good for you. I'm glad you're asking around. I think if you tell us what you're trying to accomplish, I can narrow down the specific Sticky Pod model for you.

DVXusers have been loyal customers for years. Long before we ever advertised on the site. I know that some of them use the Sticky Pods on the recent Horror Fest.

Just let me know what you need and I will get you what you want.

Many thanks!

what would i need to setup my dvx100b infront of the windshiled, on the hood of the car, looking inwards to get a pretty wide shot.

secondly, something that could go right outside the door, looking in through the window ( front and back seat )

:)

ProPak works great

ProPak works great

The ProPak ($129) would do the trick. Combine it with a Bogen 577 and you will have a lethal high speed combination. If you the need the camera a couple feet off the side of the car, then the Director ($599) is the way to go. The Director has so many uses that even we don't know all the ways it can be used. We're working on it. Keep in mind that if you get the Director, you will have every version of the Sticky Pod available in one package.

Thanks again and let us know if you need anything else.

we stuck a dvx100b on the stickypod and put in on the hood of a car. we (accidentally) did 30mph in a roundabout for about 12 minutes of dialogue. No worries, my friend.

Wow. didnt think that there was gonna be a stickypod member so great, why I love this place, I have a dvx100A And was just looking to mount it either on the hood, out on the outside of my door what kit?

I actually use those "come-alongs" from Wal-Mart for extra security. You can get them in the auto section for about 15 bux.

Great advice. Most of you probably all ready know this, but get a filter to cover your lens to prevent a rock from scratching the lens.
