Very small rig. Im probably shooting a high value modern sports car. Its a small scale shoot. I want to place my DJI Osmo Action (fake gopro) via a woods suction cup around the vehicle (as well as other shots that do not touch the vehicle..) . Im wondering if I should place some kitchen 'clingfilm' between the suction cup and the paint. Also I guess that I should have somethign in my terms and conditions absolving me from any scrates/markings of the car? I might stick to glass but that will limit my angles.

Sam - I helped on a corporate shoot last year with their internal person... using the Osmo Action cams and pretty sure these:

We put at least 3 camera's on service trucks - 2 on the interior glass windshield and then at least one on the exterior paint. Never had any issues or problems... but certainly talking with the client in advance or having some kind of caveat about the possibility of paint scuffs, etc would be something I would definitely do.

If they don't want to risk it... then they need to pony up to do a "proper" or more complex system.
