Steve Bucsemi's "Lonesome Joe" shot with the AG-DVX100A

Remember that guy that was trying to make a movie out of the behind the scenes footage that he shot for this flick?

I'm going to be doing a nice long interview for DVXuser with the DP, Phil Parmet, in April. He's currently in Vietnam shooting a cooking show (with DVX's).

Shawn--thanks for the link, it will be helpful, since I'm writing up my own interview questions right now. I'm going to delve in to a bit more technical detail with Phil and my interview will be more in-depth. Phil was kind enough to send me a color-corrected copy of Lonesome Jim, so I'll also be asking some specific question related to scenes and shots in the film.

I guess I'll have to wait for it to show in Seattle somewhere, someday, I don't see it listed at Landmark Theaters, who play a lot of Indie films, or any mention of it playing at SIFF (the Seattle Film Festival).. any ideas? or wait for DVD. :-(

It hasn't been released yet, but that's already on my list o' questions. I think the film is excellent, so it certainly deserves to be released.

Plus it's a professional work shot on the DVX, speaking of which, have you seen the film 'November', the one where DP/Cinematographer Nancy Schreiber one the Sundance 'EXCELLENCE IN CINEMATOGRAPHY' award? I'd love to see that as well.

I just received the following email/interview about Phil, the Buscemi project, and a brief mention of the Vietnam project you mentioned:

Phil didn't seem to enthusiastic about the DVX other than it being a cheap way to shoot. Maybe it's just that he's coming from such a heavy film background? Just my impression. Looking forward to your interview Barry.

(Phil did "The Devils Rejects", I'm a big fan of 1,000 Corpses so I'll definitely be checking that out)
