Step up from Onboard Mic

I remember seeing a mic attached to the dvx in pictures before buying it. I don't want to spend a lot of cash on a microphone because I'll be using my school's shortly. Though, for now, I would like to purchase a mic that's would be decent to attach to my dvx, and have it stay there, as long as it's better than the onboard sound (it hasn't been cutting it).

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

If you want cheap and passable, go for the Azden SGM-1X. About $150. It's not super-fantastic, but it's clear and the pickup is decent, and it's waaaay better than the onboard mic or anything cheaper.

the akg blue line with hipper cardioid can be a good choise to start

check the akg dealers for real prices -i think it 20-25% less
those mikes quite popular between the tappers so it is agood chance that you can find them used (or parts since it modular)
