Step Down Ring stuck on EX-1 HELP!

Been testing out the SGBlade on the EX1, but when I took it off I realized the step-down ring was still on the camera and will not unscrew. It is threaded correctly but I wondered if there was a safe way to remove it with pliers or other means. Any help greatly appreciated!

You might want glue the ring to the blade. Just wrap your ring with thick cloth then use plier.

This secret is worth millions and took many years to discover but it's always worked for me.

This worked- thank you! I'm worried about glueing anything to
the Blade. Will it hold? The dishwashing gloves sound like a
good idea, but it all seems to be a bit excessive for a piece that
should be quick to remove.

The step up & down rings is a persistent problem that has nothing to do with any specific adapter, camera or ring. I've bought specific wrenches forit and tried all kinds of stuff then one idea I picked up the glove.

Lenny you're the man! Thanks for the tip, now I'll know what else to include in the adapter kit I rent with step-up/down rings!

Some customers were having same complaints about stuck rings so I began supplying a thick rubber band, but gloves seem like a much better solution!

the same idea, but easier to keep in a kit, one of those discs that are made for opening jar lids. same material and grip, less bulky
