stedi cam pilot with canon a1 and 35mm adapter

Hope this is the right section to place this in, but i may be upgrading from my stedicam merlin to use a pilot to support a canon a1 and my sgpro adapter.

My question is wwill the pilot be able to handle the weight of just the a1 and sgpro with rail system and a 28mm lens. I know the pilot can hold 10 pounds max. so can anyone tell me if this has been done or can sucessfuly be don e. trhanks

Ive flown loads of stripped down 35mm adapter rigs, including an A1 and SGpro, and even when its stripped down to nothing it weighs a lot more than the pilot limit, about 5-6kg so about 11-15lbs. Have you tried building the rig and weighing it?
 
hoarp, i haven't weighed it, but if i used a carbon fiber rail system i'm wondering if that would help?

Have you flown with any other systems besides stedicam that you could recomend at a cheaper price point that could support this rig without sacrificing quality?
