Steady Stick...

A Co-worker just bought one these Steady stick for use with our Sony BetaSX Cameras. It reminds me A LOT like the DVRig Pro but thing I like the most is the little holster thing where the pole sits in is very sturdy and sits off to the side whereas on the DVRig Pro the little pouch is to small and sits right in the middle. I have the DVrig Pro and like it alot but I might have to get this steady stick for my ENG camera. He brought it to work today and the rig is nice! I have a link below, its on the Tiffen website.

Re: Steady Stick...

I agree on the "Too small pauch".
We have upgraded our belt and support pouch, It is lot better now. The reson for the mid. position is midle of body camera position, The full size cameras are caried on the shoulder so
the support point is aligned with the right shoulder.

Pls. Visit http://www.dvtec.tv/_wsn/page3.html and have a look at the new EngRig for full size camcorders.

Let me know what you think the ups and down sides are.

BTW - I can arrange a test demo EngRig unit for you, Let me know.

Re: Steady Stick...

Danny are you saying you have upgraded the belt and pouch for the DVrig as well as the ENG unit? What is the price on the new belt. I will get in touch with you soon in regards to testing that out. There are times when shooting Pro Football (EAGLES) when you have the camera on your shoulder for most of the game to have something like this to take the pressure off your back.
