Hey, I have a glidecam 4000 and I use this stabilizer whith a 4" LCD Marshall monitor clamp in the base near the counterweights. Well, whe I shooting in outdoors I don´t see any picture in the Marshall monitor due to the hight brightness of the sun (I have a LCD hood with it). In indoors works well, but in outdoor only works like a counterweight...

I would like to buy a monitor that works well in outdoors... like those green monitors that I have saw in the steadicams...

Any suggestions? thanks

A TB6 Monitor is probably the best CRT out there for steadicam but it ain't cheap. You could contact Tiffen and ask how much a replacement SK Monitor is (3.5") or Master Series Monitor (4" and 5")

Forgot to mention, Marrell do a quality version of a CRT at a very good price. The downside is they are based in the UK and the Dollar isn't very strong at the moment against the British Pound so you'll be paying through the nose.

I too have been looking for one of these "steadicam esqu" monitors... so far I've been quoted from $1,500 to 7,100. I'd love to hear from you if you find anything drastically cheaper!
