Edit: Nevermind, I manged to unscrew it by turning it towards me. The DVD is correct. It is also correct in calling it counter-clockwise. I guess I just dont understand why turning something towards me is called counter-clockwise because if a lay a clock in front of me, the seconds hand would be ticking towards me

Hello all,
I'm new and recently got a Steadicam Merlin. But I think I made a newb mistake during the setup and screwed the guide ring too tight...
I dont want to make it worse, so I just want to double check which direction should I turn it to unscrew it? In the manual it says to rotate counter-clockwise. Now is that when the Merlin is pointing forward in the upright position?
I'm a bit confused becasue on the DVD manual, when the guy says to turn it counter-clockwise, it looks like he is actually turning it clockwise
Any help would be much appreciated.
David
