just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good steadicam type rig that would assist me in shooting live concerts.

I am somewhat budget concious now, so I would like to limit my expense to $300 or so.

is it possible to get a decent set up for that little?

I like the Varizoom Flowpod. its about 400

One really nice thing about it is that it's also a monopod, but you can extend it quite far and raise it up in the air above a crowd, which makes it excellent for that type of event.

Another nice feature is that when you get a little more money you can by the vest and arm unit from varizoom for another 700 bucks and have full steadycam like rig.

thanks

thanks

thanks icarus, just curious about how the shoulder mount rigs work. Does it come close to simulating the feel of a real shoulder mount camera?

if you know...

thanks

That's pretty well what the DvRigPro does - converts the DVX or similar to the motion signature of a heavy shoulder mount, but without the strain.
