Staying organized?

I'll be the first one to admit that I am an organizational nightmare. Not just physically, with papers strewn all over my desk, but in other aspects as well. I always start a calendar or planner or what have you with good intentions, but for some reason it always falls through. Either I lose it, or forget to write stuff down in it, or it runs out of months and I don't buy a new one. It's really bad, especially since I have so much going on right now, I'm bound to forget something. Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone gone through this and then cured themselves of it? I tried using a PDA, but found it was just easier to write stuff by hand. I know that when I get into the "real" world and start a buisness or start working on films, I better get my **** together otherwise bad stuff is going to happen. Does anyone have any advice?

since I'm on my email all the time I use the Outlook Calendar and Tasks tools quite often. With the little reminder pop-ups I always keep in the loop with deadlines, meetings, etc.

dude- I think it comes bundled with creative talent. I have the same problem. But it doesn't only happen with calendars and stuff, its many things. I've been trying to control it too- its very hard. You just have to push yourself into the routine. Here's what I was told:

Start a routine- lets say you want to get up every morning at 630am and make breakfast. FORCE yourself to do that routine for 2-3 weeks, then it will start to come naturally.

I would do something like that. Lately what I've been doing is just carrying around a small notepad and pen. Its quicker then a PDA in my opinion, just write down what you need to remember real quick- its been working great for me so far.

If I don't put all my appointments into my cell phone calendar, I'm screwed. It's the only way I remember anything.
