Stay Away From Filmtools

Hi all,

Enough is enough. Filmtools keeps talking about moving to bigger facilities, having more staff, and even redesigning their web site to show how supposedly pleased their customers are. On the contrary, over the years I've done business with them (since the 90's) and after multiple moves and "improvements" their service has become lax, inventory non-existant, and their prices have increased significantly (when the same items can be found through other merchants for far less).

If you see something there you like/need I'd check elsewhere before making that order. Odd are, another vendor will one, actually have it in stock and two, it'll be less expensive.

odd, i've had nothing but good luck and good prices from them... and really fast shipping... only have made 3 orders or so all in the past few months so I'm just sampling a small piece of the pie...

I shop their store in Burbank often, and their prices are not cheap, but they do have a great selection, and they do quite a business since they are down the street from studios. Heck , everyone who lives in Burbank is in the industry, and their location is perfect. Ive certainly shopped at worse places....

yeah, i make runs there from time to time. prices are on par with Mole-Richardson's store. but i think Mole is generally a little cheaper.
