I'm just going to assume that this audio section encompasses everything, didn't really know where else this would go.
Anyways, I've been wanting to start scoring my own films, but with my limited musical abilities it's kind of a problem. I've messed around in garageband a bit and have made a few simple things for a few of my films, but nothing is to the extent that I wish to take it.
So the obvious answer of course is just to do it, of course. But would a good route to this be learning to play piano and buying a midi keyboard? I know this won't be an easy task, but I'm willing to dedicate my time to it to get somewhere. I'm sure that, just like with a lot of other things, there are some books that will help push me in the right direction. So does anyone have any suggestions for that as well?
