Those are our capture cars. I have been maintaining them and being "vehicle support" on set for a bit now. But this weekend, they are sending me home with one of the F3's to "learn" it inside and out in order to be a "back-up DP"/crew.

Granted I have been shooting on just about every camera, except an Arri or Panavision....haven't had that chance yet. And I understand lighting........

And getting my Union ticket too. Yeah, call me happy.

Oh, and I built many of the camera mounts on these cars. The one on the front of the Excursion is now ROCK solid.

Congrats on your life upgrade!

I hope the company is paying for your Union entry as a DP! It ain't cheap brother!

If you ever want to work with Arri or Panavision cams, just hit me up. We'll spend the day at Panavision playing with toys. I work out of there all the time now, and back about 5 years ago, I actually worked there. :/

Sweet!!!!!!!! A buddy of mine just bought an Arri Studio XT with the BIG sensor. I want to play with them all..........

But keep in mind.....my aspect of being a "DP" will be specifically for shooting car plates. Wouldn't want to intrude on the rest of you professionals who do it all the time. I will be very specialized and doing niche work.
