Star Wars on NYC Subway - Improv Everywhere

Hate to rain on the galactic parade, but I don't see what the big deal is. I mean, it was well-shot considering the location, but what makes it special?
 
Its called creativity..... placing one thing, in a place where it doesnt belong and the associated confusion to your senses produces "laughter" and "joy".....
 
I'd rather think of it as 'theater for the common man'.

Well, yeah, it's Star Wars on the subway. I kinda got that. Contextual dissonance is nothing new. Nothing else going on here? I thought maybe because I'm not a huge fan that I had missed something.
 
As an artist, one needs to reach their audience. These guys did, judging by the audience's response. I bet they absolutely made those people's day, and they are still talking about it.
