The third one adds more dimension to the character of luke than I thought possible. I thought it was a little more "heart-warming" a bit long, but still. Why is this scene cut? I'm surprised it hasn't be digitized and added in the film. Or maybe i'm coo-coo for star wars and new footage is automatically amazing, but I honestly thought It was alot better than most of the dialouge scenes in star wars 1-3.

Nevermind there are like a million of these on youtube.

Will this stuff be on the new dvds? it'd be worth the buy

Actually, you'll notice that it's blood spatter- so it would be me doing it to him.

I am so failing this geek check but the reason all the scenes remain out is a final scene before the death star battle where Biggs and Luke meet up again and they discuss Luke's father. The discussion completely negates where he ends up taking Luke's linage.

I have never seen the scene but I read it in the shooting script a "long time ago", before the world wide web. If you are even geekier then I, you could probably find a copy of it somewhere in this vast wasteland we call the internet.

I had seen some of this footage before, but much of it I hadn't.

Great find!

Did yuz see Han (ever the space pirate) ravishing the "space wench"? Good stuff. It was strange as hell hearing those on-set voices coming outta the Barkeep & Doctor Evazan...but Greedo's dialogue takes the ****ing cake. Crazy.

I always thought the actor playing Biggs may have been worthy of additional screen-time....but the exposition-heavy scene between himself and Luke rightfully found its way onto the cutting room floor
 
That's the coolest bit of Star Wars footy I've seen since Jedi was released.

Awesome stuff; reminds one of the power of SOUND

Oh yeah! Han shoots first!

...some great alternate scenes and backstory are in the Star Wars radio drama. It has great stuff between Biggs and Luke before Biggs on Tatooine, including a speeder race.
