WHERE'S THE MAC BATTLEFRONT!! Knights of the old republic will be out this week. Ugh!
Well -- is it worth buying SWBF (laughing at the thought... BF -- HAHAHA) for Playstation if I don't have and probably never will buy the online thingie for it?

"Once you've seen the movies, you can live the battles in Star Wars: Battlefront, on sale now for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC. Immerse yourself in the classic Star Wars battles in any vehicle, on any planet, from any side."
Direct from my Star Wars Homing Beacon, the starwars.com newsletter!!!
I know, I know... I clicked on the link and didn't see it... but they say it so it must be TRUE -- say you're lying!!! SAY IT!
Well, I picked up Star Wars today at the PX during lunchtime. Picture quality looks amazing.
Too bad my new DLP projector shipped from Crutchfield never arrived. It was mysteriously stolen/disappeared somewhere in the mail/customs system enroute to Korea. Mail fraud/theft is pretty bad out here.

Yes, picture quality looks amazing. And the CGI is pretty impressive for that time.
I watched these movies ages ago. I was about 7 or 8 years old. I can't really remember.
Ok -- I was 14 when the first one came out the FIRST time. Most of you puppies just read about it in your history books.
damn you all!
BUT, I might be one of the only ones alive here to see the ORIGINAL opening sequence and the complete ORIGINAL movie... HA HA -- you will NEVER see those again.

We got to see the original trailer on the DVD.
I was probably a couple of months old or maybe a year old when it came out for first time.
I guess in a couple of years time I'll get to say the same about the Matrix, won't I?
Oh, come on . . . quite a few of us here were among the first theater goers seeing the “Episode IV”-less opening sequence. In fact . . . I don’t think I saw the “Episode IV” tag until I saw it on tape.
By the way, in response to above, there WAS NO CGI in 1977. All computer effects were hand drawn and backlit.
