Star Trek A-Team

Does make you wonder what kind of bad-assedness would be unleashed on the world were Kirk and Hannibal find themselves in the same century, working together...
 
The two Scott borthers might be producing it, but the writer doesn't have me all too excited:

"The screenplay is currently credited to Skip Woods (SWORDFISH, HITMAN)"

Swordfish was a forgettable movie as a kid, and hitman I tried watching, but stopped as soon as it went into that stupid sword fight in the subway.

I don't expect much. Never watched A-team anyways, before my time.

I like this cast, but here's an alternate take on it:

Hannibal -- George Clooney (or) Mickey Rourke (or) Bruce Willis (maybe Kurt Russell)
Face -- Tom Cruise (or) Robert Downey Jr. (Pitt is hard to argue against though)
Murdoch -- Kevin Spacey
B.A. -- can't argue with Ving Rhames

I think the key is casting Hannibal first, then the rest are easier to figure out. If this was adapted to the big screen in the mid-late 80's, then Kurt Russell as Hannibal and John Carpenter directing would've been pretty sweet.

Awesome! I saw this was coming up but I didn't know if they were going to do it or not. If the cast is for real it's a sweet deal. Ving Rhames as BA was the obvious choice. Jim Carrey as Murdoch? Good choice but didn't see it coming for some reason nor Mel as Hannibal. Pitt as Face was another obvious one.
