So apparently today marks the release of the 'Simpsons' postage stamp; in honor of the event there will be some kind of big-noise extravaganza on the Fox lot, complete with (what is rumored to be) the USC marching band, well, marching for the occasion.

Weird, the stuff people choose to make a big deal over.

I note in passing that Stage 23 is covered with a huge mural of Luke Skywalker fighting Darth Vader - weird and inappropriate since 'Star Wars' was not shot on this lot - and stage 21 is covered with a huge mural of the 'Simpsons' characters - weird and inappropriate, since (small tibdit of highly specialized insider showbiz information) animated programs are not generally created on sound stages...

...this is an odd place, to work.
