Stabilization Effect

Re: Stabilization Effect

There's a fvideo effect called 2d3->SteadyMove that came with PPro 1.5. I tried it on a small clip and it took forever to render. Slow slow slow. Wasn't able to see much of a change on the clip either. But, I didn't make much of an effort to learn it. Mostly because of how slow the thing is.

Not sure of any other effects.

Re: Stabilization Effect

Also, just worth noting, I don't think the SteadyMove plugin is installed by default. I think you have to run a separate installer from the Premiere CD.

I have not tried the effect, so I don't know if it will do what you want. But it's free with both PPro 1.0 and 1.5.

Re: Stabilization Effect

That SteadyMove plugin is alright. But you'll need the Pro version to do anything major. You'll have to play with the settings and run some tests before your footage actually becomes more stable than the original. Most of my earlier experiences with SteadyMove actually made the footage more shakier, as if the cameraman was having an epileptic seizure. :o

Re: Stabilization Effect

I tried Steady Move.. not the greatest results, I'll keep searching though.......
