SSD data transfer to mac pro?

I've just ordered a mac pro with a la cie 5 big thunderbolt 2 and the Atomos Shogun. In the past, I've used the canon and panasonic DSLRs which have SD or CF cards. I've used USB card readers to transfer data to my iMac. Now I'm entering the world of big data, I'm not entirely sure how to get the data from the SSD to my mac pro. Is there some kind of SSD dock that someone recommends? USB 3? THunderbolt?

Any help would be appreciated,
