OK... enough is enough. Anyone here have expereince directing squirrels? If not directing, at least catching them? if you got screenshots id love to see them cuz squirrels are rad!
I never tried to catch them, but I shot a lot of footage of squirrels when I was making my first short for my video production class when I was at Interlochen in high school. However, they didn't take direction well.
OK squirrels have a reputation for being difficult to work with, they show up late they don’t learn their lines and worst of all they have one of the most powerful unions in the entertainment industry.
That being said I have found that the key to working with squirrels is excellent craft services, assorted nuts of course are de rigueur, but many squirrels will be offended by your attempts at providing what they feel is ‘ethnic’ food if you don’t also provide red vines, pudding snacks and plenty of Jack Daniels. It would be like having a bunch of Caucasian people over and just serving them white bread, cause everyone knows those whites just love their wonder bread.
I shot one with a bb gun once, it didnt really take well to direction after that, kinda just limped around. Damn union actors [oops, did I say that] (duh dun da - joke)
Wait.....that was a mockumentary? Well holy ****...thanks a lot. Now you've made me look like a complete fool. I've been getting up a militia against the little bastards...giving public speeches to spread awareness and getting ready for the big squirellmegadon.
