i don't know much about them, but was told they can be dangerous? what type of person would i need to contact in my area that could handle this type of thing on my film?

for example, if i decided to have a dozen dudes get shot in the chest/legs, etc.

how much should i budget for on something like this?
 
I would say use an Airsquib.

I have one I made for 15 dollars out of a bug sprayer and some O2 tubing.

Works really well too once it's primed. And no explosive. Which is good for everyone and your wallet. Triggered by a quick release valve.
 
I might have something lying around when we did tests with it. The unit is actually under my bed right now.

I just cleared some of my harddrives so I might not have anything, but I will check for you. And worst case scenario - I will be running some tests on the weekend or next week again - so I can post those.
