Hi There,
I am currently editing some footage of a live band at a festival & wanted to give it a kinda.. . 60's woodstock filmic look - so I have applied the cc to the wonderful dvx 25p footage & am now adding the widescreen matt for that extra filmic feel.
Thing is.. . I squeezed the footage at -66% instead of appying the matt just to try out & I kinda like the squeezed look
It has a sort of scfi - ish look, where the distortion makes everything fatter & wider almost a fisheye - looks pretty cool on pan's etc.
I think it works for this project - as it is a phsycodelic dub band & the wilder the better
Has anyone else ever squeezed thier footage this far & what type of projects where they used for ?
Im curious & also wanted to know if there are any pitfalls I would come up against when I encode the final output to dvd ?
I use fcp 4.1 by the way.
Any feedback or thoughts at all on this would be cool 8)
Cheers
