squeezing image

using fcp 5.1.4 and shooting with 16:9 adapter. my sequence preset is set to dv-ntsc anamorphic and capture is dv-ntsc advanced pulldown (as I am shooting 24pa). Never had this problem before, but I the image is squeezed from the 1:85 to 2:35ish when I view footage on my production monitor and in the top right canvas in FCP. Also there is a green line (rendering) over the footage. What do you think the deal is?

I unchecked 16:9 but still have the problem. It's okay in the fcp canvasses, but on my ext monitor still squeezing. If I change aspect on monitor to 4:3 it gives me the correct 1:85 to one. What's the deal? Do I have to re-import all of my footage :( i hope not.
