I was interviewing a guy and he would move sometimes and it would make a squeaky noise. I switched chairs, but it didn't help. Is there something in FCP X that I can use to at least tone down the squeak? Thanks
Go into your 'Audio Enhancements' section on the clip and click the 'Advanced Equalizer UI' icon, which brings up the parameters found below.
Start on the right and drag down 16kHz and/or 8kHz and see if that helps. Keep playing around.
Some of FCP X's available filters can also work, and they do the same thing as above (altering the audio) but in their own way with their own settings.
Thanks I'll give that a try. I can just edit out parts, but in other spots he would shift in the chair making that annoying sound. If nothing else I'll re do it. Thanks for the quick and great reply NorBro.
Thank you...P.S. Also consider cutting/blading only the short squeaky sections of the audio clips rather than applying the above to the entire clip. You can transition in and out (the transition durations are adjustable too).
