Spot/Fresnel Lights

I am looking to supplement 2 Kino-Flo Diva-Lites 400s with two good Spot add/or Fresnel Lamps. I have review many posts associated with different choices and have considered the following.

Arri

Pro: Excellent construction and flexible light control

Con: Bulb life - usually about 300 to 500 hours. Large storage requirements.

Dedolight

Pro: Bulbs - Lower cost and longer life. Small package

Con: Up front Expense

Lowel

Pro: Inexpensive and small package

Con: Have burned more leather gloves than I should. Same bulb issues with Arri setups. Can break easy. Not big fan of the Omni or Tota Lamps.

Pro: Very flexible and powerful Pars

Con: Upfront expense and expensive bulb costs and short bulb life

I have worked with:

• Arri 1ks, 2ks, and 5ks Tungsten Studio Fresnel Lamps
• Lowel Omni and Tota kits
• Molepar 1ks
• Arri Pocket Par 200

So, basically, I am very familiar with traditional lighting equipment. I like to have something compact to work with. Thus, I'm looking for some opinions on the best spot and fresnel light for key light operations.

Compact you say?
Check Lowel's Pro-Lights; at about $120.00 incl. bulb (250W max.) and some focusability they really are a great little light, especially to travel with.
