Hey guys,
I know a few of you are doing personal projects on the side, and these are often self-funded.
I've done this as well before, but recently I discovered there are ways to use this to your advantage.
For instance, a reputable studio sponsors an artist / band to do their music video. The artist will put this on their website and maybe also put a banner than links to the studio. Likewise, the studio can claim to be proud sponsors of the band. I normally also put links to my website at the end of a clip. So banners, clip and facebook links sure sound like good publicity, especially since bands often like to network with other local bands and artists. It's still similar to pulling a "friends of the band" favour, but using it more to your advantage.
