Splitting video and audio

This is most likely a ridiculous question but how to you separate the video from the audio on FCP... as in, delete my audio but keep the vision...?

Highlight the clip in the timeline and press APPLE-L. This unlinks them.
Or turn off LINKED SELECTION...the button in the upper right of the timeline, the left button.
Or don't cut the audio into the timeline in the first place. Disconnect the audio tabs.
 
Or option + click (or drag) the audio clips to highlight them and push delete (or to keep the audio, but not use it, right click and disable clip)
