Splitting audio tracks in FCX

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to split a stereo audio track in to two mono audio tracks with Final Cut Pro X. I recorded audio for a project I am working on with dual xlr inputs on my camera. I had both a lavaliere and a boom mic. I would like to be able to work on the two tracks individually but they were imported as a single track and I can't find anyway to split them up. Thanks!!

First set it to dual mono in the Inspector>Audio. Then break apart on the clip in the timeline. Then you'll be able to access each track.

Or, open it in it's own timeline and edit the audio channels there.
