Split Screens

Is this possible with Vegas, I want to put scenes but split them in 4. So there will be 4 things going on the screen.

Re: Split Screens

There are dozens of splitscreens available on the http://www.vasst.com/login.htm site. 3, 4,5,6,8,and more splits in various projects.
Splitting with masks or track motion is easy. Track motion is most common, but masks are easy to use too.

I think it what you looking for.[/quote]

Okay this opens.. in Vegas ofcourse.. but I already have my project in a timeline and have my settings set, how would I put that in?

Re: Split Screens

This is just exmple i did for you.
Steps:
Select track to modify, click on pan/crop icon located on clip.
Set width and height for this clip. You can also set location there or click on track motion icon, for this track, and set location there.
different where to set will global for track or local for clip.
It does help to take paper and draw on it before so you will know dimentions.

Re: Split Screens

vovka, are you saying that when you download that file, it opens into Vegas, and goes into your Pan/Crop tool?

Thanks for your help. The computer I edit on, isn't the one that is connected to the computer I have internet to, so I can't check for myself until I get home.

Re: Split Screens

File is sample project done in Vegas to illustrate how it's can be done.
You can open and look on settings in pan/crop and motion track for each track/clip.
You can duplicate setting in your project.

Re: Split Screens

I tried those settings from that sample. There's no way that would work for me. All the clips are small but on top of each other, one screen only.

So I guess.. gotta insert 3 more video tracks into the timeline and play with the Width and height to figure it out ?

Re: Split Screens

If you want them all on the screen at the same time, then yes -- you have to stack them on the timeline.
