Split Screen?

I am trying to put two copies of the same clip that are 16x9 on the same 4x3 screen for a side by side. I am wondering how best to crop the two. I have tried every thing I know of Vegas (obviously limited). ???

The full clips side by side? They'd fit better top & bottom, I'd think.

In either case, Track Motion will do it for you. Use two tracks, and move each clip however you want.

(The help file probably uses Picture-in-Picture as an example, but you can just as easily have the two tracks split in the same frame.)

Thanks Dan. Yeah , I did intend them to be on top of each other, I was just using the term side by side.
