split screen effect

Re: split screen effect

It's in there... just don't think it's called split screen.

Anyway -- Place both videos on top of each other in the timeline. Turn on wireframe+image for your canvas. Click on the top track and move the wireframe to the position you want.

Look up picture in picture too.

Good luck,

Re: split screen effect

Hi.

After matching up your 2 clips, scale them both down to 50% or so (look under the Motion tab on each clip). Then use the settings to place them where you want on the screen. I used (-180, -20) for the left side and (180,-20) for the right side. This also allows you to use the Lower 3rd text generator to write captions below each clip.

Hope this helps.

Re: split screen effect

Create two layers of video.
Double click top layer.
Add Effects -> Mattes -> 4 point grbage matte

Set position the 4 points where you want it.

Re: split screen effect

Or go in the motion tab and use the crop parameters. A lot of ways to do the same thing...

Re: split screen effect

Use whiteout on your TV screen. If your prefer to not have a white border on the split, then use a black magic marker.

sry... I couldn't resist.
