Hey,

I am curious to know if anyone knows of where I can buy split-diopter lenses of different intensities to put on my 72mm threaded DVX - any websites would be great. As of right now a guy is letting me rent three different intensities of split-diopter lenses and the 72m9 adapter for $80 - from friday to monday

Thanks,
-Matt-

I am not aware of anyone offering split diopters in screw-in sizes (they would have to rotate like a polarizer for orientation). Schneider manufactures them in Series 9 and then you need an adapter ring- sounds very much like what you are renting.

yea, I checked up on it, I am renting series 9 split-diopters with a series 9 step up from 72mm. Now I'm a little confused, what is this series 9? is it a round lens, is it a filter, is it a larger lens?

and does anyone now retail stores that would sell the series 9 adapter and the lenses wether Schneider or other

it will split the frame into two different fields of focus - you can be way up close to a persons face to the left of the frame and he will be sharp in focus and then ur background which can be right of frame and 15ft away and be just as sharp and in focus as the face
