Splash Page at end of DVD in DVD STdio Pro4

Chaps,

I'm wanting to insert a short logo and web address at the end of a DVD I'm creating. It's a navigatable DVD with different sections so it can't just be tagged on the end of a track.

Ideally I'd like it to play just after the user has pressed "stop" and before it actually stops. Is this possible -is there a similar way?

Any help / pointers to useful sites appreciated!

Cheers

Then only way I could think of doing this is with scripts.
I don't think it would be possible when pressing stop, but I would need to have a think. You could have a link at the end of each track so it plays the logo movie and then jumps to the menu. DVD scripting can be really powerful, check out creative cow for some tutorials and some links to some more on Alex's site. If you need any more advice PM me.

Thanks Steve - I thought that might be the case.

I've posted the same on Creative Cow, waiting for a response. The problem I have with your suggestion is that there is only one track (a short video clip). The other section of the dvd is a series of static menus. I don't want the splash to appear after every menu jump, just at the end, upon exit.

I've done similar on CD Rom projects authored in Director using Lingo scripts but am completely new to DVDSPro.

Thanks for taking the time to respond - I may well PM you later for ideas!

Cheers

no, even with scripting, you couldn't do it with the stop command. stop sends a signal telling the DVD player to terminate playing that dvd, or on most, pause it with a resume option. Either way, it is one of the buttons that is non-scriptable.

You could have it so that it shows the splash every time they start the DVD, even after stopping it, by moving you Splash track to the top of the VTS1 position and then having it redirect to your main menu after playing. But that is about it.
