spinning newspaper

howdy.
i'm trying to make a photo of a newspaper spin around multiple times as it grows to fill the screen like they used to do in the old news reels.
i know how to make the image grow but can't figure out how to make it spin more than one rotation with the motion controls.
are there any plugins or techniques to make this happen.

You need to set up multiple keyframes to get it to spin over and over. Decide how long you want each rotation to be. Set a key frame at the start of the timeline. Then go forward in the timeline at the set interval you decided each rotation is and set a key frame, and spin the rotation controller 360 degrees. Go ahead one frame and set another key frame, then go forward the time for each rotation and set key frames and spin the rotation controller. What you should see in the motion control tab is a saw tooth pattern in the keyframe timeline after the rotation control tab.
 
To get the speed right, play back one of those old clips you are talking about, frame by frame, to see how far and fast the paper moves.
 
thanks for the replies guys. i actually figured it out by accident.
if you set a key frame at the start of the spin and a key frame at the end of the spin you can enter any number in the rotation box and then adjust from there. such as when i went to put in 360 for one full rotation and accidentally put 3600, to my chagrin it spun the image 10 times between the key frames. i then adjusted by trial and error til i got what i wanted.

it was actually pretty easy. i just subtracted 360 at a time from the 3600 til i got the speed i wanted.
just be sure to use numbers based on 360 and you're good to go.
