Spinning house - how can I do this effect?

My daughter is in a production of the Wizard of Oz and I , being the video
dad, have been nominated to produce the "house spinning in the tornado"
special effect. I have FCP studio 5.4 with Motion. Can I find this animation somewhere - if not, what is the best way to accomplish this - a farmhouse
spinning round and round and flying through the air? The house needs to have some detail in it. Thanks!
 
The original was a model. So you could do this in 3D say in Cinema 4D. Or just put a small model of a house on a lazy susan or a turntable. Cover the turntable in green so you can matte it over a shot of the sky or whatever. I'd go with perhaps a HO scale model train pre-built house- for example:

And to sell the effect from the inside looking out,take your cam and spin around for a bit. Put a green screen outside the window, and composite it over your spinning footage.
 
Definitely- you could mount it to the same turntable or lazy susan to get the effect. Make sure it's well mouted though..:thumbsup:
