Spike Lee on CNN - What gear was used?

[naeem]

We're doing something similar to what was done on CNN's Children of the Storm - http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/siu/shows/cots/.

And I'm trying to find out what camera's and gear were handed out to the kids? Has anyone done a similar video-diary style film before? OR if you have any contacts at CNN, where we might find out how they did it - I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Those cameras seem to be budget DV cameras (under $1000).

Yes, I just found out - they are Canon HV10's with wide angle adapters on the front. They go for around $5 - $600.

Good for video diary style stuff.
