Spiderman 3 teaser trailer is up

When I first read that, I read it as "Spider-Man" not "Super-Man" and I was about to go off on a huge post about why that's not true. I'm glad I re-read it before I wasted the effort. :grin:

I'm still super pissed about the costume. One of the COOLEST visuals from when Spider-Man had the symbiot was when he was walking down the street in normal clothes, and the costume just enveloped him and he took off. I dislike the way that they are doing it, but whatever.

I'm confused as to what Venom will look like, if the symbiot just melded to Spider-Man's normal costume, is it going to just meld to whatever Eddie Brock is wearing at the time? Perhaps they will find a way for him to be naked, and that's how he gets the grotesque appearance.

In any case, it looks awesome; and yes, in Gwen Stacy is WAAAAY hotter than Mary Jane. Church looks awesome.

I'm going to go watch it again right now. I love HD trailers. :love4:

EDIT: Okay, so after stepping through it frame by frame I noticed the shot w/ Mary Jane and Harry, then cut to the shot of Peter watching them. This is going to be so epic! This thing better be like 3 hours- because if they try to fit that much story in under two hours (ala X-Men 3) there's going to be some seriously pissed off fans.

do a frame by frame in 1080p ... i have to use two monitors just to see it all. Apple rocks everyone else for HD trailers.

AICN had a post early about the villians that Sony made them take down, it was something to the effect of yes, villians are sandman, venom, and green goblin 2. they all do battle at the end, but green goblin 2 fights with spidey. to set up the next film there are a lot of references to the lizard and mysterio. I personally hope they don't do batman/x-men 3 and f it up with too many characters.
 
grrrrr .... i was soooo excited to see this on the big screen before superman ... but what did fox do in my theater instead? ran a bunch of crappy trailers hoping someone would get suckered into seeing "john tucker must die" or "my super ex-gf". I hope you rot News Corp.
 
I may be wrong, but in the comics wasnt it supposed to be Hobgoblin? I dont remember a second green goblin.
 
I think there have been 3 different green goblins over the years.

Hobgoblin is a different character altogether. Wikipedia might be a good place to go for some explanation.

Over at AInt it Cool they said that Venom is modeled after the late Todd McFarlane era Venom which is fantastic news in my book.
 
No i meant the latter end of the McFarlane run, poor wording on my part.

Its how the reviewer who saw the footage chose to describe him.
 
oh ok. yeah he did the a run on ASM till around the issue 316 venom was like 301 or so then did "Spiderman" the later renamed "Sensational Spiderman" for like a year then formed image comics and then "Spawn". I cant wait to see it.

Wow..... that storyline took place in the 70's I believe. When Harry blamed Peter for MJ dumping him then, in a drug induced haze, kicked Peter out of their apartment.

Harry's dad, as the Goblin, attacking Peter in public trying to out him as spider man.

That was a great storyline. Around the time I began reading comics.
