Spiderlites by Westcott?

Does anyone have experience with Wescott's Spiderlites?

They have normal threaded fixtures which can take halogen, compact flourescent*, stuido strobe or modeling lamp bulbs. Fixtures can be individual turned on/off.

The five bulb version kit cost around $650 from B&H.

I'm looking at this as an alternative to a Diva Light.


*Westcott supplies the bulbs and specs them as: 27-watt daylight fluorescent lamps CRI 93.

What attracts you to that setup in particular?

I considered the Spiderlite as an alternative to Lowel´s Rifa lights, but for the purpose of lightness and ease of use, the Rifas can´t be beaten...
The handling of the CFLs, setting up the softbox didn´t seem right for my needs.
As a Diva alternative I´d also consider CoolLight´s portable flo fixtures.
