SpiderBrace stabilizer?

wow i really may have to buy this.

here's my question.

How do you operate one of these suckers when you have a 35 mm adapter

Interesting.......anyone know if you could use the spiderbrace with rods to help stabilize the 35mm adapter?

You could use it but you would have to juggle focusing and supporting with one hand, and that arm, while the other hand holds up the Rig.

hhehe..

i assume thats wh yo uagreed to build a Frenchflag/35mmadapter/stabilizer too huh.... DAmn.

How long did everyones spiderbrace take to come ? They don't list how long the shipping is on the their website
mine came in three days.

I ordered mine on a monday and got it on a weds. I used this wkend for a wedding and it worked like a champ!!

Can anyone attest to the amount of damping this thing provides? I love the price and the simplicity. The DV Rig clearly is terrific, but I'm a spaz when it comes to shooting, and I'm wary of being tangled up in so much stuff. After shooting a reality show last weekend with the .7x adapter and a litepanel for about 8 hours, I DEFINITELY want something (until my bionic arm gets back from the shop). But aside from keeping me from getting tired, will it smooth out the image appreciably?

I ordered mine Saturday, and he shipped it early Monday. I will be using this Saturday to shoot my first wedding.

its
VERY light and you barely notice it on your camera. But it does get it the way if you need to change exposure. cause you have to let go wth one hand, which wobbles the camera. so if its under controlled lighting, its good to hold and shoot. but if its where youre constantly going to be changin settigs, it may not be for you.

its true it wobbles a bit if you have to move your hand but if you do it slowly and i found it ez to handle while i kept my left hand under the handle and the thumb holding the bottom so my 4 other fingers can man the lens.

thos guys should thank who ever first posted their link to DVXUSER.com.\

they have made like a 1k$ form us.... easy

I ordered my spiderbrace too. I should be getting it Thursday or Friday. I'll let the gang know how it goes.

Ordered mine yesterday, but I live in Canada. Wonder how long it'll take to get to me.

I emailed their contact with a question last week and never heard anything from them. I have the orginal DVX100 and wanted to ensure it would work with this model (I am more than positive it will but before dropping $65.00 ...)

Sigh

I think I am going to get one as well. Or, maybe a couple. I wonder how hard it would be to put an actual grip on the handles, something like this:

If you had that, you could adjust the camera settings and and it would barely wobble at all.

Great thread. I missed it the first time around.
