Spider Steady Rig

Just got this little baby from a local shop in Singapore on Friday (July 29 2011). I've been eyeing it for nearly 2 months now ever since it came out. Cheap to buy on eBay, (http://cgi.ebay.com/DSLR-SHOULDER-R...417?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bac11481).

It does has its flaw, but for the price, I'm loving it!

a few things to take note. this will only support the weight of HDSLRs. anything weighing more than 7kg will cause the rig joints to slowly bend despite how much tightening is giving to the knobs. Also, the only tool giving in the box is an allen key/hex key.

looks like a ripoff of the DVRIG pro - if you want something more solid I'd look in that direction

probably in the future. alot of rigs look the same, perform the same, and operate the same way. it just a matter of how its been crafted for the end user. this one folds nicely in my photobag.

yeah, looks like the Multirig from DVTECH. from what you say the joints dont get very secure. just goes to show you can really tell much from a picture. it sure is inexpensive though. almost cant go wrong for that kind of money.
